While the Marco booth will be one of the highlights of the expo (or course!), the keynote speaker also promises to make quite an impact. Anthony Robles will be addressing the audience on Tuesday, October 1. An incredibly inspiring speaker, Robles was born with only one leg and the doctors cannot explain why.
As you might imagine, this has presented Robles with many, many obstacles throughout out his life and would certainly have caused others of lesser fortitude to give up on their dreams. Joining the wrestling team at age 14, this 90-pound, one-legged boy finished in last place as expected. Robles, however, believed that he was unstoppable and, encouraged by his mother, proceeded to prove it to everyone else.
During his inspirational talk you’ll hear about his journey and hardships, leading to a 96-0 record his junior and senior year, two Arizona State Championships, and a high school National Championship. On to college, he was named a 3-time All-American, and won the 2011 NCAA National Championship.
His story of triumph over adversity is sure to be a highlight of the show.
