What Makes Marco Products So Good?
At Marco, we love to hear from our customers. We especially love it when they tell us that our products are an important part of their business’ success. It makes all the extra effort we put into designing, testing, and manufacturing our solutions to go above and beyond in quality, performance, and ease of installation worth it.
We love hearing from those who aren’t yet Marco customers, too. Throughout our tradeshow appearances this year, we’ve answered a lot of questions. Installation, warranty, technical specifications, and more—for all of our metal, shingle, and tile roofing solutions. The most common questions we’ve been asked, however, have simply been “what makes ______ so good?” Since we can’t see everyone at these tradeshows, we thought we’d answer a few of those questions we heard at last month’s METALCON right here.
What makes LP2 so good?
Our patented LP2 Ridge Vent is the industry’s premier ventilation solution. We make LP2 in-house in our Tulsa, Oklahoma, manufacturing facility so we can control the quality. We’re so confident in the quality, we back it with a 40-year warranty. Made from durable, modified polyester with non-woven, non-wicking, fiber-based matting, it outlasts and outperforms the competitors’ polyurethane-material products by miles, providing a superior net-free ventilation area that helps keep out moisture, pests and dust.
And what about installation? LP2’s specially cut contours provide a custom, low-profile fit for any pitch and most major metal roof profiles. It can be installed by just one person in three easy steps. In fact, the screw bed and industrial-strength peel-and-stick adhesive pre-applied to LP2 makes this one of the easiest installations imaginable.
What makes FlexPro so good?
While LP2 is the industry’s premier ventilation solution, our FlexPro venting solution is a balanced combination of features from LP2 and our economical Flex-O-Vent products.
Like LP2, we make FlexPro right here in the U.S. from a specially formulated polyester—manufactured from recycled material—that prevents moisture absorption and holds together to keep out pests. Polyurethane products constantly expand as they soak up water and contract as they dry out causing them to disintegrate and fail. But not FlexPro. It holds together—and we’ve backed it with a 40-year warranty to prove it.
Available as a roll or profile-cut stick, FlexPro is extremely durable, flame-resistant, clog-resistant and tear-resistant. And our exclusive adhesive means it’s a snap to install.
What makes Flex-O-Vent so good?
As your one-stop source for roof ventilation, we offer choices: our premium LP2 custom-cut vent strip, our mid-line FlexPro profile ventilation, and our most economical polyester-based ventilation product, Flex-O-Vent.
Flex-O-Vent is a universal venting material available in 10- and 20-foot rolls and multiple packaging options. Like all Marco ventilation products, Flex-O-Vent won’t absorb moisture, which can freeze and block ventilation or, long-term, cause other ventilation products to disintegrate. Flex-O-Vent comes with a 40-year limited warranty and features Marco’s proprietary M63 adhesive for superior hold and easy one-person installation. It’s economical to buy, easy to install, and delivers proven Marco performance.
What makes Marco’s Valley Cap so good?
Valleys aren’t only time-consuming for roofers, 90% of all roof leaks start where roof valleys come together at the top of secondary and primary roof intersections. Marco’s exclusive Valley Cap changes all that.
Made specifically for metal roofs, the Valley Cap is easy to install thanks to a unique design that eliminates the need to force the ridgeline under the primary panel—which greatly minimizes the chance of leaks. (Contractors in the field say they are saving 30 to 45 minutes installing our Valley Cap).
Marco’s Valley Cap is backed by a 20-year weather-resistant warranty, and the finished product is a more aesthetically pleasing, leak-proof, metal roof.
What makes Marco’s Closure so good?
All closure is the same, right? Absolutely not. Marco closure is made by us, right here in the U.S., so we can control the quality. We use only durable crosslink polyethylene foam that won’t bleed, dry out or dissolve with weather and UV exposure. And only Marco adds a unique coating that gives it better UV resistance and durability than the industry standard. In fact, independent testing confirms Marco’s 1.5 density foam provides better UV stability than competitive products with a 2.0 density. Plus, with our exclusive, sure-sticking M63 adhesive pre-applied at the factory, you won’t have to worry about blow-away problems. One person can install it in three easy steps.
