Does Your State Make The List?
Marco Industries provides metal roofing ventilation and accessories to roofers all across the U.S. and Canada. These pros use proven Marco products on homes as well as commercial and agricultural buildings in urban and rural settings. Take a look at the shipping activity in any one of Marco’s six distribution centers, however, and you’ll likely find a high concentration of material flowing into specific states. That’s because a full 60% of the country’s construction projects are located in just 10 states.
According to GlobalData, a large data analytics and consulting company, 10 U.S. states account for more than half of the 11,200 public and private U.S. projects they track. These projects, worth a staggering $3.7 trillion, are both public and private.
While the findings go way beyond roofing, they are a good reminder of how robust the U.S. construction industry is, even as it faces challenges like a persistent shortage of skilled labor and rising material costs. And that’s good news for every aspect of construction.
So are you in one of the thriving states? If you’re in California, your colleagues are pulling in the largest share of the pie: 1,302 projects worth a whopping $524.6 billion. Here’s the full list:
- California
- Texas
- New York
- Florida
- Washington
- Illinois
- Pennsylvania
- Georgia
- Ohio
- North
Carolina Construction is certainly booming in the top 10, but the rest of the U.S. is seeing healthy construction numbers, too. Hopefully, you’re benefiting from the boom as well! To learn more about Marco, visit www.MarcoIndustries.com. To contact Marco directly call 1-800-800-8590.
