Grow Your Roofing Business.

Exercise Extra Caution In Extreme Temps

Want to grow your metal roofing business? MRA Executive Director Renee Ramey offers some tips in a recent article.

While spring and summer can typically keep you busy with renovations, re-roofs and storm damage repair, fall is often a time when the roofing trade slows down a bit. So why not take advantage of this time to make some plans on how to grow your business in 2019?

Ramey highlights four areas you should be thinking about: generating leads, following-up, regular communication, and making sure you hire quality employees.

Generating leads is generally the number one item on everyone’s marketing priorities list. But as Ramey notes, qualified leads only come through a longer-term, dedicated effort to build your reputation and referral business. “That’s because most customers conduct a great deal of online research well ahead of investing in a major expense such as a new roof; they seek advice from trusted, third-party organizations and want assurances that the company they may enlist is going to stand behind their products or service. They look for education, information and reviews before they ever pick up the phone or fill out a form.”

They also talk to friends and neighbors. In our generation of Facebook networking and Google reviews, word-of-mouth is a powerful tool that can work for and against you. That’s why you have to do things—a lot of things—right. Your website, your ongoing communications, and of course, your work product.
